A GEM FROM HEAVEN One of the rarest meteorites is called a pallasite and contains peridot crystals mixed in solid iron. Scientists tell us that pallasites are approx. FOUR to FIVE BILLION years old; they were formed at the beginning of our solar system! Only a very small handfull of these extraterrestrial peridot gems have ever been cut. They are the rarest of rare gems. Besides the obvious rare source, the extraterrestrial peridot is usually so fractured that it is next to impossible to find a crystal clean and large enough to facet.Now a few Kansas meteorites from one location are yielding heavenly crystals that are big enough. I have been able to remove some cuttable crystals from their solid iron prison and have a few of these gems from heaven now available. These are truly gems from heaven! Each gem will come with my Certificate of authenticity, and a Kansas Meteorite Society Certificate of authenticity.
