This gem was the First Place Winner of the Faceted Gems Category, in the 2005 Gemmy's international competition. It has been in numerous publications and is now in the collection of the Houston Museum of Natural History.  Next: An extremely rare faceted peridot that is from a pallasite meteorite! Third: Original concave cut trilliant design in African rubellite.   Far right: "Time Traveler" is a reverse intaglio carved in a gem quartz crystal from Arkansas.
